As a nurse, I cared for women through some of the most profound transitions of their lives: pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I watched how hormonal shifts affected everything, a woman's sleep, her mood, her energy, her sense of who she was. That connection stayed with me.

Then my own body started speaking, and I did not listen at first. I was the woman who pushed through everything, convinced that was what strength looked like. Until a herniated disc stopped me completely. That was my body's first serious message: you cannot keep living like this.

A few years later, the signals returned in new forms. Sleepless nights, heart palpitations, brain fog, joint pain, and a level of fatigue I could not explain away. My body was not whispering anymore. This time I finally listened. I found the right support, rebuilt my relationship with food and rest, and learned what caring for myself actually looked like. Not as a luxury, but as a necessity.

What I was navigating had a name: perimenopause. And the clarity that came from finally understanding what was happening in my body changed everything.

When a potential job loss became an unexpected opening, I began my health coaching certification, and I knew immediately who I wanted to serve. Women like me. Women who are used to showing up for everyone else, who have been carrying more than they admit, who feel off but cannot get anyone to take it seriously.

I created Rooted in Her Essence Coaching because you deserve more than a rushed appointment and a dismissive answer. You deserve someone who helps you understand what is happening in your body, name it clearly, and walk into every medical conversation knowing exactly what to ask for.
